Inspired by Mozzink The Brand, a swimwear business based in Toronto, I developed a data-driven kiosk application designed for a 1920x1080 landscape touchscreen. The goal was to merge commercial appeal with educational content, creating an interactive installation that highlights both the brand's aesthetic and the rich history of swimwear.
Building for a physical kiosk required a balance of curated research and technical precision:
Research & Curation: I had to perform a deep dive into the history of swimwear to source significant information that would engage kiosk visitors. This data-driven approach ensured the content was as compelling as the visuals.
Layout Architecture: Each layout was built in Photoshop with a focus on absolute positioning. By organizing elements into precise layers, I was able to translate the complex designs into a functional HTML/CSS structure that maintains its integrity on large displays.
I pushed my creative limits by designing four distinct, layered layouts in Photoshop, utilizing photo collages and a clean RGB color space. After vectorizing the Mozzink logo in Illustrator, I moved into VS Code to animate the interface using GSAP. The app is fully optimized for physical kiosk deployment, featuring absolute CSS positioning and a direct link to the brand's live shop or Instagram.
Interactive Design: Adobe Photoshop (Multi-layout composition, photo collaging, and UI design).
Motion & Assets: GSAP for interface animation and Adobe Illustrator for logo vectorization.
Front-End Engineering: HTML5/CSS3 optimized for 1920x1080 touchscreen interaction.
Strategic Thinking: Market research, brand inspiration, and UX design for public information kiosks.
